Haley Humphreys / Barre

Haley was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She attended Louisiana State University where she graduated in 2012 with a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. Haley's love for BootyBarre began when she started taking classes with Beatriz at the studio, and she completed her instructor training in May 2016. When not at the studio, Haley is a 2nd grade teacher at The Dunham School.

Our Classes

Reformer I classes emphasize basic foundational Pilates movements.   Instructors provide careful cueing, ensuring proper execution of each exercise. If you are new to Pilates equipment (Reformer and Chair), please schedule a private session before joining group classes.

Reformer II classes are for clients with sufficient apparatus experience. These classes include more challenging and demanding movement sequences.  Additional props, such as the magic circle and foam roller, are incorporated.

Chair/Mat classes combine mat work with the Chair, which is one of the most challenging pieces of Pilates equipment.  It is especially effective in building strength in the legs and shoulders.

CORE Barre  class provides 50 minutes of intense muscle toning and cardio exercises for a full body workout. Using traditional barre exercises along with weights/bands for strength training, you are sure to bring your heart rate up and feel the burn!

Target Barre focuses on specific muscle groups in a concentrated and specific way. Each exercise isolates at least one major muscle group, pushing it to exhaustion and lengthening it via stretching. The slower pace of the class allows each client to create and foster body awareness.

Mallory Maynard / Barre

Mallory was born in Monroa, LA and raised in both St. Amant, LA and Kansas City, MO. She has lived in Baton Rouge for 5 years and loves all four cities, considering all of them home. She became a certified Bar Method instructor in April 2015. She has taught barre at Bar Method, MOVE Fitness & Training and Elevate Wellness Studio. Mallory became enthralled by the mind-body connection barre offered. She is interested in the meditative aspect of focusing energy to one’s body and is eager to assist clients in their body awareness journey. She believes barre offers an option to strive for and maintain strength, tone and endurance no matter size, age or prior injuries.

Carol Galloway / Pilates

Carol was born and raised in Baton Rouge. For many years she worked as an attorney in private practice, both in Baton Rouge and New Orleans. She was introduced to Pilates in 2012 (with Beatriz as her instructor) and was drawn to the gracefulness and strengthening quality of the movement. After retiring from the legal profession, she decided to pursue her BASI instructor certification. She is a firm believer that Pilates is for anyone at any level, given its focus on posture, spinal alignment, strengthening and flexibility.
